QUEST FOR PEACE
“War for Peace” has become the unjust slogan of many tyrants and oppressors on this earth. True Peace seems to elude humankind.

Entertainment and Corporate Media does not provide the peace it proclaims. It has in reality made the people more fearful, lustful, violent and greedy. Escapism from faith in God, humane values and good deeds is their mirage.

Islam means “Peace” – internal and external. It is essential, therefore, to know, practise and propagate Islam to attain peace in this life and the hereafter.

MEDIA AND ISLAM
Islam, today, is the most misunderstood religion. It bears the brunt of misconceptions and hate propaganda.

The powerful mass media, aligned to deceitful political and corporate interests, spreads these misconceptions virulently... worldwide.

While portraying Islam, integrity and reliability are bypassed by the media with professional charm and finesse.

Wise and apt Islamic viewpoints are seldom covered in the mainstream media, whereas aberrations by a few misled Muslims are highlighted.

Muslims hardly have any hold or influence on major media, especially TV. They instead, exhibit an apologetic attitude and an inferiority complex.

REACH OF THE TV MEDIA
Today, more 20,000 TV stations around the globe reach out to 5 billion people worldwide. Such that TV plays a major role in shaping public opinion.

With more than US $ 400 billion invested in TV productions and distribution alone, it is serious business laden with cut-throat competition, political manipulations and corporate interests.

Global scale media mergers in the industry have led to limiting the viewpoints having access to mass media, specially the Islamic viewpoint.

This scenario needs to be countered with a global reach for the truth of Islam. As the Qur’an (Ch. 21, V. 18) advises us:

“When truth is hurled against falsehood, falsehood perishes, for falsehood by its nature is bound to perish”.

WHY PEACE TV ?
Peace TV is not just another Islamic TV channel. Nor will it promote any particular Islamic sect or dogma.

Peace TV will, InshaAllah, provide its viewers with state-of-the-art TV programmes. These would be based on authentic teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith.

Peace TV will, InshaAllah, be backed by the best available media technology, creativity, research and operational management.

Peace TV would, InshaAllah, be a respected global media outlet presenting Islam and removing misconceptions about Islam.

Peace TV would also promote inter-faith dialogues, common teachings of scriptures of major religions and world peace.

Peace TV would, InshaAllah, make both Muslims and Non-Muslims realize the effectiveness of Islam in solving problems of humankind. Solutions, derived from their Creator - the All Aware.

Join us… in our mission for peace – through Peace TV.

Diganta Television

Diganta Television

Television is the most attractive medium of information and amusement. With this view in mind, Diganta Television has commenced its triumphant march of contributing to the cultural sphere of Bangladesh with a benign purifying touch for building a decent society. “Dedicated to Truth and Elegance” – with this motto Diganta TV’s has begun its journey. Though this round the clock digital TV channel is officially telecasting only from 28th August 2008, it has already added a new dimension to our country’s electronic journalism. Including the latest affairs around the world it is broadcasting news in every hour.

For the first time in Bangladesh, Diganta Television introduced modern “Vizrt Graphics” technology for news presentation. This software has brought a new dimension in presenting news, and is able to quench news lovers’ thirst. “Vizrt Graphics”, “Vizrt Trio” and “Virtual Set” have made the Diganta news second to none. In our country, this new technology has been initiated by Diganta TV, and thus TV transmission has got a new attribute.

In presenting news, D-tv is giving first priority to the viewers. This channel has all the elements which a 24 hrs news channel should have. Viewers will witness live telecast of whatever happens in the capital city through the boon of this modern technology in the shortest possible time.

For this, many important points of the city have been brought under the optical fiber cable network. No matter how peripheral the district is; our representatives and bureau officers penetrate there to bring out the latest news for presenting before viewers. For instant news casting, we have four bureau offices, and numerous district offices.

my tv

“my tv” is being established on 20th December 2010 as a television channel with the slogan “Excellence in Innovation” to run 24 hours a day using Bengali language as the primary medium, reaching Bengali speaking population, worldwide. A race of more than 350 million people, present in the every corner of the globe, with a rich cultural heritage over a thousand years old aged Dhaka had only marginal exposure  in the global stage, most of depressingly negative. Other than some acknowledgement of the know giants of Bengoli such as Kazi

Nazrul Islam, Rabindronath Tegor, Maulana Vashani, A.K. Fazlul Haque, Sekh Mujibur Rahman, Dr. Younus, Amarta Sen, Ravi Sankar, F.H Khan- representation of the Bengali race remains peripheral.
This multi faith, multi-natural race has unique presence in the world today and in spite of many adversities both in the past and present, survives with great vigor and potential right across the globe. The founder of “my tv” emerges from deeply held commitment to give a voice to the Bengali people of the world that does justice to their global presence and rich heritage earned through the glorious war and liberation in the year of 1971.

It will provide a vibrant and innovative platform to engage Bengalis and non- Bengalis in every nation in the world where there is significant Bengali presence; informing, entertaining, educating and generating critical debate. “my tv” will look inward and outward simultaneously.

Given the base from which “my tv” will operate in the heart of the Bangladeshi community with the emphasis on the struggles and achievements of global Bengalis, the Bangladeshi communities settled in abroad would be expected.

Given the need for a widely accessible platform “my tv” intends to broadcast globally as a free channel, reaching out a language group that is the world’s 4th most widely spoken as declared by the United Nation.
